Trust the process
A year ago, I had no secure income, I was broken hearted after my first love broke up with me, I had no friends in my sixth form, I was depressed and disliked myself, I was skinny, unfit and demotivated and my grades at school were sucked at C, D, E at their worst.
I realised soon enough that nobody could get my life to its best other than me, it will be monotonous and hard but ultimately a routine, and foundations in life like exercise, planning, eating well, checklists, early mornings and nights and working hard will allow me to self actualise and reach full potential of health, happiness and success.
Today, some months I make an income of just under £500 because I am organised and make time for work outside of study and other life, I go to the gym or workout at home 3-4 times a week and run at least once a week, my grades were A, B, C at the end of term because of my study and I enter each day with a positive outlook. All this meant god allowed me to be lucky enough to meet my girlfriend of 3 months, who I love immensely and have a social life with many friends.
See the silver linings in every day, despite family circumstances I have powered through and achieved because I prayed to god and looked on the bright side or remembered how lucky I was to have other outlooks in my life.
You are capable of anything. Set yourself steps and put in 100% every day. You will make it trust the process
I can’t believe I have just landed a corporate job at just 17 years old. My life recently.
Life can often be boring, but recently I’ve been lucky its been the complete opposite. I started my work experience on the last week of school before the summer at an energy broker where I rotated around client services, account management, data and business acquisition in an attempt to introduce me to the corporate world. During this time unlike some of my peers at their work experience locations I took meticulous notes, asked insightful questions and connected both virtually on LinkedIn and in the ‘micro networking’ setting of the office. I was absolutely privileged at the end of it to be offered a paid position helping in the account management with PTO’s & Live Checks, the Managing Director saying I was ‘unlike most 17 year olds’. I am absolutely flattered and surprised people thought of me this highly… My advice? Take every opportunity you are given because you never know where it will lead. I have been lucky to meet some incredible people and enter the ladder of progression in the corporate world- here is a statement I wrote in gratitude about my experiences there, perhaps you will find this advice useful.
“A strong leader has the humility to listen, the confidence to challenge, and the wisdom to know when to quit arguing and to get on board” - Radical Candour
Hey, its been a while. What kind of thing do you guys want me to post about?
A truly momentous day in UK Politics today. The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Rishi Sunak has called a general election. Let me try not to be rash, but this is clearly the most celebrated occasion in the past thirteen years of Tory failure. The epitome of his premiership was clearly defined by the pathetic fallacy of the rainy downpour as he announced parliaments upcoming recess, next week and a general election on July 4th 2024.
Lets be honest, claims that the Sunak government have been a success are none existent, his payroll vote ministers and donors lobbying the government through enormous donations are the only benefactors of this ‘failure of a premiership’ from the end of 2022. For starters, his government lacks a fundamental for governance- a mandate. Three prime ministers and no general election, 4 cabinets and a hate filled agenda consumed by nothing but sleaze, social exclusion and blame for a slow, impractical recovery from Brexit, COVID-19, soaring energy costs and a predecessor unqualified, delusional about being brought down by the ‘deep-state’.
My argument is not just sign post, one line insults like the governments flagship Rawanda ‘Illegal Migration Act’ which saw royal assent a few weeks back and legislated away Human Rights concerns, no other country has done apart from Russia. I would like to call for fundamental change. Vote for Labour to encourage a winners bonus that will see the fall of our two party system and a more centrist opposition party.
Embrace each day with the fervor of a sunrise, knowing that within its unfolding lies the opportunity to chase dreams and conquer fears. Let ambition be your compass, guiding you through the labyrinth of life, for it is through work and perseverance that we carve our path to greatness. Remember, the prize awaits those who dare to seize it, for success is not bestowed but earned through relentless dedication. As the sun sets on another day, let gratitude fill your heart for the chance to experience life's beauty amidst its chaos. Embrace love, kindness, and the serenity of nature, for in their embrace lies the true essence of our existence. Let us not take for granted the blessings bestowed upon us, but instead, cherish each moment as a precious gift, for in gratitude lies the key to unlocking life's true potential.
“Without ambition one starts nothing. Without work, one finishes nothing. The prize will not be sent to you. You have to win it.“ —Ralph Waldo Emerson
Just a word of advice. If you like someone don’t shy away, show them everyday until they open their arms to you or push you away and teach you something new. I met a girl 2 months ago, she was so beautiful she glowed I grew up the courage to see if she liked me too, and turns out she does. Take risks they’re beautiful thing
Gradually falling back in love… Reciprocity and kindness goes a long way.
I love the sunset, it makes me realise that I’m lucky to have silence filled with silence, filled with a feeling of calm, contentment and tranquility. It breaks my heart that not everyone is able to step outside and appreciate nature because of fear of violence. Please understand how lucky we all are for one thing or another, do not take each day for granted
Wake up at 5:30am every day. Go to the gym 4 times a week. Run twice a week. Meditate. Make as much money as you can and you will feel better about yourself. This has been me for the past six months.
I’m a proud Apple device owner, just brought the iPhone 14 and some Airpods. Reducing my saving goals for this year but increasing productivity. I now have Macbook Air, iPhone SE (will sell soon), iPhone 14, Apple Watch SE, Airpods, Airpod Pro’s and recently brought an Apple mini speaker Anyone considering starting on Apple products it’ll be the best decision you make but probably the most expensive as they keep you a loyal customer haha.
