You are valued.

I dream sometimes about what me and her could have been, but would I have bettered myself? Probably not. My point is people come into your life sometimes and show you something, but people are taken away to teach you something as well: self dependence, resilience. I hope some day I find someone I love the same. And I hope anyone who reminisces, and still feels pain can see the silver linings. You are good enough by yourself, improve, prosper and you will find someone who will love you fully.

Whats something you’d tell your past self? 💛

“Gratitude is the most exquisite form of courtesy.”

I’m starting a challenge of 316 days, starting now to the 1st January 2025, to be the best version of me. So far it includes making £4000, improving grades at sixth form, running a 5k in 21 minutes or under, as well as continuing single life as it allows me to flourish in myself more easily. Anyone got any additional aims I should add to this challenge?

Some heartbreaks don’t heal for anyone, like me, who have had their heart broken. It does get easy- you find yourself again, but it shapes you so you’ll never be the same.

Running isn't just exercise; it's a transformative experience. With every step, runners push physical boundaries and discover mental clarity. The rhythm of running clears the mind and connects us to the present moment, whether in nature or the urban landscape.

Its Valentines Day tomorrow - for those dreading it I’m not looking forward to it either. Its easy to feel alone sometimes even if you know your better by yourself. This quote really resonates with me, and I just wanted to tell you that you are not alone and tomorrow is just another day to spend with friends and doing what you love. People think that Valentines day is all about love but ‘valentine’ in latin means "strong, healthy, brave, rule" and thats exactly what you are. Independent, powerful, autonomous 💛

Hey all 👋

Personally I don’t believe in New Years Resolutions as I think you should be able to identify and work on yourself no matter if its the start of the year or a quarter through one - its like waiting for the right moment when the right moment now. Here are some goals I have identified to have to complete: 📚 🏃 💙 🌻

  1. Generate £1.5k by 1st September 2024 using my investments, my odd jobs business and work at my local pub working as a waiter for casual events & as a kitchen porter. This is looking highly inevitable so i’m pushing for bonuses.

  2. Start driving lessons from some point after my birthday, 29th March and aim to be passed with my theory & practical tests by the start of October.

  3. Complete regular focused revision for my A level subjects, aiming to see an increase in my grades with a focus to get A B C in July.

  4. Continue to stay committed in the gym doing weight based gym sessions 3-4 days a week as well as 1-2 days of cardio, one of those days being a 5k run. This will not only uplift me mentally but a better physique will give me more confidence.

  5. I want to reach 21 minutes for a 5k before the middle of the summer, August 15th I want to do this. I currently average a time of 26 minutes for a 5k.

  6. Train to complete a 10k sponsored race in under 53 minutes 30 seconds on September 8th. This will enable me to do a half marathon.

  7. Plan my career and view universities + course options, costings and entry requirements.

  8. Daily meditation for better focus.

The weird thing about having unconditional love for someone is that even when they have hurt you and they are gone sometimes you just want them back, they cut you out and leave you hurt but you think you love them. You are going to pick yourself up and carry on, I've learnt the hard way you can't chase dreams that don't want you. You can't love someone that doesn't love you back, but you can love yourself, do your best every day because its all going to be okay ❤️

Mental health & personal potential 🌻

Just a recommendation for all you lovely people who want to master life.

I was listening to the podcast ‘Diary of a CEO’ by Steven Bartlett the other day talking about well-being, relationships and self actualisation. The guest was Dr Arial Campbell Danesh and it spoke about how to build resilience and avoid relationships until you are happy with yourself. It also spoke how relationships should less about emotion and propping each other up (partially though) and more about supporting each other goals and pushing each other to achieve great things. They liken life to a chess game, journalling three things you are grateful for. I would fully recommend this, Steven is a self made millionaire at just 31.

My advice on politics, engagement & being informed 💙

‘They are all the same’. Thats what people say about politicians in the UK. However I disagree we are inclined to think this by the narrative the media push aiming to stop us engaging in the fundamental part of our political system: democracy - with the 2024 UK General Election approaching I urge you to be more engaged in politics than ever, don’t believe spurious 5 word bold headlines, read into things, watch parliament sit and take your own stance on policy.

I’m not sitting here telling you who to vote for, I’m just saying to question everything you read and don’t base your beliefs off corporations or others high ranking figures. The Tories have deep rotted ideology is anti-trans, free markets, low taxes for the rich and complete and utter disregard for public services. We can change this.

The idea with my account here is to share some reasonable life advise and wisdom, based of experience and my journey trying to have better mental, physical and emotional health. My girlfriend broke up with me about four months ago - and her being my first love it was one of the hardest experiences so far in my life. But here are some key things I did to make me a better person, I hope these helps anyone going through something similar.

  • Work on yourself - The truth about being in a committed relationship is your energy, love, happiness and achievements are shared between you and your partner. Coming out of a relationship opens up the long time opportunity to find happiness in yourself and not gauge your happiness off someone else, ultimately meaning you are more in control. This happiness can come about through many different ways through doing hobbies you enjoy, learning a new skill, being sociable in a setting with intelligent conversation. I found meditation & exercise super useful.

  • No contact, don’t ‘stay just friends’ - If you’ve been broken up with your going to still have some feelings for them. Spending time with them will just ‘keep the wound open’, diversify your friend group, away from them.

  • Don’t find someone new - Join the gym, go three times a week, run a 5k twice or three times a week, read and meditate everyday. Find happiness in yourself before you find someone new. By improving the quality of yourself you will find someone even better in future ❤️
