in the outsiders, one of the characters pulls a unloaded gun on the police

so, what type of gun did this character have?

the book gives no description, so the only thing we have to work with is the release date of the book

the book was released in 1956, so the gun would have to be 1950 to 1956

We have two guns, model 1950, and a m1911

the model 1950 is more recent, so thats probably the gun the character had
