Some things on this test can be a result of a lack of understanding of questions or politics in general as well, but I don't know. In general, religion, crime and punishment, death penalty and rehabilitation, and sex-related questions tend to put people closer to authoritarian if they answer them in ways that imply they believe only people of their religion are moral, if they wish to impose their religious or personal beliefs on others, or if they show stronger support for a harsher justice system and less strong opinions toward libertarian beliefs. I obviously don’t know if that happened in this case, but these are just some of the factors to consider.
