I’m an EDM prod who also likes graphic design, vector art, 3D art and a lot more. i specialize in putting chiptune in literally everything and doing crazy genre blends.
Stuff I’ve done:
Sound designed for Pulsus (underrated epic rhythm game)
Did a grand finals tournament tiebreaker song thing for that rhythm game too
Collaborated with Zoftle, sort of.
Got contacted by an actually huge YouTuber to do 3D stuff but I wasn’t really good enough and had to decline u(oo)u
Gotten the attention of some pretty big artists tbh idk how tho
anyways i’m doing some actually huge epic projects that i think will be super cool so stay tuned for epicness
i had a dream last night where i had committed self-dying for some reason i dont remember exactly what led to that or what i did to die but i do remember that it happened
So then I was a ghost for a little bit and it was kind of cool with like going through walls and exploring stuff on my own but slowly I started to get just a lot of anxiety and sadness over stuff like not being able to talk to my friends anymore, not being able to do music anymore, probably making my friends and family super sad and how nothing I move around or touch actually does anything in real life. I think the dream just ended with me crying on the ground with an extreme sense of guilt and despair for doing that.
Which trust me I'm a very okay individual and i have never thought about doing that in real life and I'm very rarely actually depressed. But the dream just kind of made me realize that like dang there's a whole lot of stuff in life that's really good and I should appreciate that.
moral of the story: if you want to stop breathing and there is some form of life after death, there's a chance that you could end up feeling just extremely awful from a combination of guilt, anxiety, and missing all the stuff you used to be able to do. so uh yeah don't risk it
Chordify might be the coolest website ngl
Like it’s genuinely insane for learning guitar, being able to just look up literally any song I want and get guitar chords for it is wild. And it’s so much cooler than looking up basic practice stuff because I like the songs. I don’t wanna learn guitar by playing row row row your boat if Interluden by Xilent is an option. Which is actually the first song I actually learned how to play in full since it’s in E Minor which is the easiest key. And I could only do that thanks to Chordify because nobody is gonna manually transcript a relatively obscure dubstep track into guitar chords.
10/10 would recommend
Genres I haven’t made yet but want to:
Glitch hop
Happy hardcore
Techcore full-on
House
Oscilloscope music (not really a genre but i want to make it still)
the more i think about it the more i realize i’ve done so many genres there’s barely any left to try lol
I often see this sentiment in a lot of places of how artists don’t make enough money. And how for us to live in a world with insanely cool amounts of creativity and awesome art and stuff, we need a world that is able to have artists not need to worry about money. Which, yeah, would absolutely be awesome. As an artist of many forms, it would be insanely cool to be able to make a living by doing what I love. But the thing is, I don’t think that kind of a world is even possible.
I mean, art is already an EXTREMELY competitive career, and it is super rare when people can make a living off of that. This is simply because a lot of people don’t need art in a practical sense. Sure, making art takes a lot of effort, and in theory should be getting higher pay, but it’s rare when art is actually serving a functional service, so people aren’t gonna pay too much for it. And as employers look into hiring better and more talented artists, the price just becomes not worth it at a point.
My point is that too many people are seeing the problem of artists not making enough money and criticize society and capitalism and stuff, but if we’re being real I think it’s literally just because of the nature of how art works. It’s just not functional enough for 99% of purposes. so my blazing hot take is that if artists complain about barely making a living, it’s their mistake for solely trying to live off of art, not the fault of “society” or whatever.
I keep feeling like I have no chance of making an impact on the general EDM community, but then I remember that I’m actually in the next generation of big EDM producers. All the really well known people that get venues and crazy collabs and stuff are adults that have the ability to do all of this stuff much easier, and many of them weren’t even as developed as me at my age because they started a lot later. But since I’m already building up a small fan base and have been getting pretty good at music, I feel like if I just keep on improving I could do all the big goals that seem impossible for me to reach.
The big thing I want to do eventually is to just play something live at some venue or event or something, in front of people who already know who I am. That’s the major thing I absolutely want to accomplish eventually. And honestly it might just be doable.
why is it that whenever it be brillig there always gotta be some slithy aah toves that gotta gyre and gimble in they wabe
