Part I: Reducing low quality content/posts that could be as 1 post but instead take up more.
This does not mean “ban ‘“low quality’” content. “Low quality” is ridiculous, completely subjective, and leads to a “qualitycentral” culture like on wasteof.money where bullying those who do not fit “traditional” posting norms is acceptable. The meaning of that is simply that many apparent “low quality” (to an outsider considering joining) posts could be combined into one. One example of this happening is https://darflen.com/posts/d97afe4be8981d34f5c059bb & https://darflen.com/posts/86c8f7fefa6db58129eb0fa4. The simplest way to improve this situation, albeit more minor, is to combine multiple posts into one, which creates an impression of high quality to an outsider - essentially advertising Darflen as better than people think it is (because it is). Ofcourse, the posts have to be similar in content but this is easy when you consider situations like the one listed above (which isn't meant as a personal attack just an example).
Part II: Scratch Degeneracy.
It's very easy to see the negative impacts of Scratch on Darflen. The constant talk of pging might be harmless but the users who boast about pging on Darflen isn’t. This is quite simply ruining Darflen’s reputation to the point where Darflen is associated with the disturbing parts of Scratch. When the tigerjjw_teacher or whatever it was account was spamming classes, people were sending Darflen post links relating to it on Scratch. Some users who participated in worsening Darlfen in this way, such as ayd, are gone (albeit not for this reason) but some such as qxva who has spread scratch bullshit to wasteof.money (spamming namesnipe creation) and glorified his actions to “promote” Darflen as having “better” moderation because the one on wo.m is “slow”. This is simply unacceptable behaviour that should be shamed and banned for.
qxva has also openly admitted to hacking others’ accounts on other websites, like hacking (with pging) the user “abeloveduser” on wo.m or leaking the login details to MrMeems’ PCE account (which then was used to taint meems’ reputation). He also did this previously and got temp banned but clearly did not learn from it. He should be banned.
Lastly, not just qxva but also users such as darkpet have used Darflen as a sort of bridge to spread updates to bad things happening on scratch e.g. that weird animated thumbnail project showing a “naked ayd” and saying a bunch of idiots ruled scratch. DARFLEN IS NOT A PLATFORM FOR CRINGE 6 YEAR OLDS TO BOAST ABOUT BREAKING RULES ON OTHER SITES and this must be clearly understood.
A lot of this could be fixed by banning qxva.
Part III: Better relations with “adjacent” social media sites.
Better relations with other social medias e.g. wasteof.money are necessary. Action can be taken on both sites to improve relations but I feel like the entire community of Darflen must understand the necessities of peace, for the sake of all sides. In terms of growth, wo.m would be a great source of new users - as it already has been. In terms of community, many users could greatly benefit Darflen. Hence, it is important to not disgust wo.m which might happen by having a community where more people act like qxva (intentionally ban speedrunning / mass account creating and then criticising slow moderator response that is absolutely explainable) or acting really weird.
