You should not spend your time around people who (perhaps unintentionally) make you uncomfortable. I think it is possible for two people — both of whom are friendly, respectful, motivated, creative, and intelligent — to just not fit well together. That is a sad truth, but one to learn to accept. Be with the people who love you for who you are.
