@jeffalo. We have a deal for you. When we launch Scriptegy Accounts, would you be willing to add login support. Our API is going to be ludicrously simple. There will even be an npm package for getting token data, and tons of documentation so everything is crystal clear? Sounds good. Well we aren’t going to say “Good” yet because we cannot predict how you will respond.
i’m just worried about the longevity of your service. i have github and google because i know they won’t be going anywhere.. also, i mean no disrespect, but how can i be sure that you will not login to other people’s wasteof accounts using your privileged access to your service?
That is a problem. We can’t really be too sure. Obviously make sure that we can only sign into accounts that use scriptegy accounts. Other than that, we don’t know.
As for longevity, if we ever do unexpectedly go offline, we will make sure to include an endpoint that will return “we fine” if the servers are up, so you can hide the button if the servers are down,
that doesn’t really change all the users who would be locked out of their accounts..
Fair point. You could also force people to also have a password just in case.
I also have another thing, what about security? How can jeffalo know your data is well protected and won't result in accounts being compromised.
