the fact that Deshaun Watson only gets suspended for 6 games after being accused by 66 women of sexual misconduct while Calvin Ridley gets suspended at least a year for legally betting on games while he’s injured tells you all you need to know about how terrible the NFL is on an organizational level

That’s… pretty awful. I’m not a sports guy myself, but there should definitely be more serious consequences.
the NFL is historically bad about punishing jail-worthy crimes like assault, but it’s especially infuriating because they hand out massive suspensions for using legal recreational drugs or prescribed drugs to soothe injuries. it’s a disaster all around and makes me feel ashamed to be a football fan sometimes
