it’s not a sandwich and that’s a fact - a sandwich is 2 pieces of bread holding an item in the middle, however a hotdog bun is only 1 piece of bread so it’s not.
My friends and I got into the “is a hot dog a sandwich” argument… what are you guys’ thoughts (I say it’s not)?

What if you break the connection between the bun? Then is a sandwich? Also, there are bread rolls that are sold with the two buns connected… If you make a sandwich out of it is it still a sandwich
