and this is happening while many Western countries pressure Africa to buy their oil instead of Russian oil (more expensive oil prices affect the cost of food, goods, increase inflation and cause more people to starve/fall into poverty). If you want people to side with you, you have to show that you care about the citizens of their countries as much as you do the people of Ukraine/more-European countries. The U.S. and Europe also hoarded COVID-19 Vaccines during the Pandemic, but are now desperately trying to convince African countries to side with them in a global conflict (where these African countries often have much more volatile access to food and other resources but aren’t even supporting Russia, just remaining unaligned)
