i mean, it’s not all good. this clearly fully disassociates scratch from a highly-respected educational institution and removes its .edu domain extension, meaning that it’s less likely to be classified by schools and parents as educational and more likely to be seen as a games site (equivalent to any other .org site with tens of thousands of games that greet you on the explore page). it is also harder to convince parents that its good now, especially now that so many scratchers don’t actually create anything and use it purely for social media.
