Youtube is being sneaky. They made the skip ad button fade into the background a little so it’s not as noticeable when you can skip the ad.

that's what happens when one company has a monopoly. they know that nobody's going to leave youtube if they do this ebcause there are no meaninful competitors. that means they can make the experience much worse for consumers without it affecting their profit :/
