OC lore dump before I go offline for a week because some of you wanted it

ASKARRAN [Abyssiyaz]
Askarran is an ice dragon who lives in the arctic. The majority of his life has been
quite boring and unfulfilling, he works transporting goods or clients across the arctic sea.
He dislikes his job, but it pays well enough, and its the best that he can probably get.
When he's not travelling across thousands of miles of ice, he occasionally enjoys fishing.
SYNCHRONISITY [Abyssiyaz]
Lives in the city and works as a UI designer for some tech company, fairly well off.
As well as the usual cybernetics, he is augmented with several high powered actuators
internally (which is considered an illegal modification). works for [some sort of underground
organization?] and needs the modifications for self defense.
ARK [standalone]
Ark is the caretaker of an automated refueling space station. As well as preforming
maintenance, he grows various plants on the station, and enjoys cooking. As a result
of having too much food, he often sells some to visitors, similar to an upscale gas station.
Ark (and other similar units) are designed to be able to live for thousands of years.
[NOTICE]
while Synchronicity and Ark are labeled as the same species, they are not the same.
protogens in Abyssyiaz are heavily modified humans, and were originally human.
protogens in Ark's reality are more similar to robots. while still partially organic,
they are for the most part created to serve a certain purpose.

yeah I thought I had more info but other than [[vibes]] I don’t have too much info on them

protogens are still a fairly experimental concept internally but I did think of a lot of mechanics for them and I put together a list of questions one might ask me about them

Q: how do they have electricity
A: biology. some parts work the same way your brain uses electricity, higher
energy parts use electrocytes (electrical cells found in electric eels)

Q: how do they eat
A: the visor opens where you'd expect the mouth to be, they have an actual mouth
inside. the visor itself is filled with a mixture of biological and artificial
components.

Q: how do they speak
A: internal speakers

Q: how do they see
A: internal cameras

Q: do they have wifi
A: no, that would be a massive security risk, and the risk is losing control of
your vital organs. they do have a digital I/O port on their spine near the neck,
but an external security device is almost always used to connect any devices.
it also includes auto-injection ports.

Q: what is the ratio of organic to inorganic
A: it can vary significantly depending on the person, but on average its usually
about 30% inorganic, and about 80% maximum, but I pretty much made up those
numbers on the spot

Q: will you be putting other anthro species in your worlds
A: probably not, maybe, but probably not due to stability issues and/or lack of
appeal
