i think this is subjective. as a non technical player, it's probably the best thing i can use
papermc fixes so many fun things (like tnt duping, gravity block duping with end portals, some chunk loaders designs, etc) and breaks redstone at times.
i use fabric for my servers with performance mods installed because at least fabric is just a foundation for mods while papermc just dug a hole to the core and filled it back up with plugins and configurations to get on the same level as vanilla.
i get that you’re not a techincal player and sure, papermc is just a perfect fit for you, but for us technical players, papermc just ruins stuff, even when we configure it to our needs, it still a horrible experience.

i love fucking around with redstone and is why i play minecraft sometimes, but i cannot fathom playing on a papermc server where redstone just shits itself like clocks being destroyed, and hoppers being slower than walking on soul sand
again, i kinda but not really understand why you would use papermc, but theres a better alternative where its a fabric server with lithium and it stays faithful to the vanilla minecraft experience
papermc strips too much features just for performance, it’s stupid
interesting, though I've never used any of those glitches while playing the game. I just build stuff ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
