just watched Not Just Bikes’ newest video video and when he kept talking about that dystopian AV future and the inability to go anywhere for people who dont own an AV i thought that it couldnt possible get to a point that bad.
then i realised that his hypothetical future, when replacing “AV” with “cars”, already describes modern day america for so many people, which wouldve equally unbelievably to someone from 100 years ago.
i hate software which thinks that it knows better than the user and tries to guess what one actually wanted to do but even by the time it should become obvious to anyone, even the software itself, that its guess was wrong it still doesnt even try to do what the user had originally requested
the world becomes so much more saturated and vibrant once you desaturate your phone

the biggest web dev sin is doing that lazy loading thing but to text for two reasons
trying to open an mp3, why is there no normal audio player

i dont get how so many people can look at statistics showing theres more vacant homes owned by billionaires and companies than unhoused people and just,, move along and not care to even try to change this
i dont get why dumb phones need to be separate products.
why buy and use a new smartphone like a 300€ BOOX Palm with 6gb ram and 128gb storage which later badly pretends to be dumb when the comparatively actually dumb 3gb ram and 32gb storage old budget samsung, for at most 150€ new or 60€ used, is right there.

just a few more standardized apis and mobile operating systems could be great
