why did android remove the ability to clear the cache of all apps in android 6?
just downloaded some app from fdroid to do it and it cleaned 1.8 gb of storage which is a ton on a 32gb phone
they removed an afaik perfectly good feature with basically no downsides and now i have to download third party apps which require a lot of permissions to do the same thing slowly
i hate it when i start discord mobile while not at home and it says “Connecting” and i just wait for like 10 seconds bc i think that its just german mobile data being slow and then i see that my mobile data isnt even activated. i think mobile OSes should add some feature where it instead says why its not connecting and offering a one click solution.
it cant be that hard for Android/iOS to detect that my mobile data is turned off and add an inapp “Enable Mobile Data”-button
this would be an actually useful new feature
capitalism
why dont people use the *.json api to make working (read only) third party apps
