when the parents finally give you “a computer of your own” but it’s literally just your parents’ computer because your dad is the admin and can see everything you do and block stuff and yet refuses to let you download anything and yells at you whenever you use it for any purpose
no complaining but i do want to buy one that’s like actually mine with no parents spying on me and just relatively secure, or possibly crack this one,,,,, any tips?
If you want to go down a rabbit hole install Linux. Tell them you want to learn and explore and whatever and your parents probably have no clue how to use it. (Assuming you use some weird desktop environment like gnome)
No guarantee this will all go to plan. In fact you will run into problems that you won’t know how to fix. (And I’m not much help)
LMAOOOO i would try that but my dad works for a big tech company and was the one who taught me how to use linux lmfao
boot into the startup menu, pick command prompt, elevate your account to administrator, profit
menu > power options > hold shift and click reboot
keep holding shift until the please wait screen goes away
thank you, appreciate it :) i will keep this in mind if the helicopter-ing crosses another line
