Specification for FourBigRecycles is a new <p> element with the word FourBigRecycles and the url separated with a space

the actual code cuts off the first 8 chars (normally “https://”) and replaces it with “https://api.” meaning beta is not properly supported so i should add url parsing

example:

FourBigRecycles https://wasteof.money/posts/62f1213f72c8791e83becb82

it will just error here probably

EDIT 3: more improvements:

  • No longer changes in the editor

  • No longer buggy deciding when to replace the <p>

  • Now has sub-repost viewing (incl. official reposts)

EDIT 4: I disabled it trying to parse non posts as posts

EDIT 5: added links, close to finishing!

basically i’ve written a piece of code that translates a line of code in a post into a fake repost. a line might look like this:

FourBigRecycles https://wasteof.money/posts/62f1164f72c8791e83becb4f

which will stick a repost into the middle of this post. this means you can repost in comments and also place text after a repost.

What’s the use?

reposting more than once

Bypassing limits??

yep. since it’s just a little piece of text for most people it shouldn’t annoy them as much as a large box in the middle of their screen

Do you have any demo post?
