hot take: this post can be interpreted in two different ways that each would start flamewars. how about we chill on the ‘political’ posts (for lack of a better term) for some time.
Hot take: people spend way too much time talking about issues that don't matter, like LGBTQ and race (note: not to say that LGBTQ and race are unimportant issues. In fact, there needs to be equal rights and treatment in both categories. Just, comparatively, they are not as important), and way too little talking about things that really matter for the survival of humanity, like climate change and space travel.

Well, to be fair, discrimination against people of color and LGBTQ+ people has led to physical and psychological harm of the victims, beyond just “hurting their feelings”.
I don’t think Jefallo is placing those concerns above issues like climate change or space travel. I think he’s just telling you to refrain from posting, or at least wording, a post in a way that could be very political divisive
