why do we have to say the pledge of allegiance at school? the teachers are like “well don’t you love this country???“ no i fucking dont. america is terrible. like, we did … stuff that im probably not able to discuss on wasteof. so just dont force us to say the pledge of allegiance, its dumb.
i pledge of allegiance to the flag of the united states of america and to the republic of which it stands one nation under god indivisible with liberty and justice for all
Also, I don't like the pledge anyways. Why do we need to chant our support?
They don’t force you to say the pledge. Some teachers may influence you to do so, but they can’t make you.
When I learned this in seventh grade, I stopped pledging, and aside from a few evil eyes, no one did anything.
I have one teacher that calls for everyone to do the pledge, but thankfully does not react when I just keep sitting down.
yeah, same. but still, some teachers at my school will say “dont you love america?“ its really annoying, but i just ignore them because ik that the school wont actually do anything about it
