today was one of the most L days i’ve had recently. I’ve done almost nothing, except the intro text for a video i’m making. The rest of the day was spent outside doing nothing, or scrolling on my computer.
I should have nearly finished the video by now, and done some other work. It’s 5:30 PM.
It’s a good sign that you’re able to recognize this shortcoming.
Have you tried setting a stricter schedule for yourself? Adhering to predetermined work and rest time blocks is often easier than winging it.
I haven’t done that yet. I usually just get up whenever I feel like it (between 7:30 and 9:00) and try to eat breakfast and start work immediately. I almost always get distracted by scrolling on Twitter. Then when i’m done with twitter (~2-3 hours later), I don’t want to work on anything because I’ve lost my motivation.
I do think it’s because I don’t have any schedule. Being homeschooled means I can do stuff whenever I want.
Try it out! And remember to include rest in there (go for a walk after every hour of work or something).
are you homeschooled?? also, don’t use Twitter if you want to get stuff done
(i deleted twitter and my motivation/productivity has increased drastically)
the problem is that I can’t delete it… I don’t even have an account. And I use it on my Apple Watch, which means you can’t block the site or the web browser. The only way for me to stop is through willpower
