bro calm down you got ratioed, no need to rant about how you think that the entire internet has gone insane
also there is pretty much no way you could fix people on the internet, thats like saying you can fix the human condition
I want to make a YouTube video explaining the reasons why the internet sucks, and how I would go about fixing it.
I love how people don’t like anything even remotely logical online. It’s like the internet is tuned against trying to understand all sides of an issue.
It leans very, very heavily towards tribalism. I’ve seen it a lot. It’s because you have a lot of choice about who you associate with, so you usually choose someone who agrees with you.
This tribalism leads to you always thinking that you’re right (because you’re only listening to people who agree with you constantly).
That’s one of the big reasons why i personally try to follow and interact with everyone. I don’t want to be surrounded by yes-men all the time. I need people to disagree with me.
This lack of negative feedback is one of the biggest problems with the internet. And like I said, it comes from the choice you have about who you listen to.
So really, the huge connected network of the internet (which connects billions of people) really leads to less communication between groups, less sharing and debating, and more tribalism.
Instead of hearing from everyone on earth, you only hear from the people you agree with. You just hear from more of them, not less.
Basically, one of the big reasons the internet sucks is because most people choose to only hear from people they agree with.
I’ve thought this for a long time. I only said it because it manifested itself in this latest controversy.
to be fair, you were complaining about the fact that a quick post got more likes than your post that you put more effort into
however, it is generally seen as very annoying to complain about not getting likes, I can spend hours on an artwork and it might not even break 10 likes, but I don’t complain, because thats simply how the internet is, low effort posts frequently get more attention than high effort ones.
I’ve also noticed that you frequently make “rant-y“ posts complaining about the people on this site and call people illogical when they don’t agree with you. there may be some people who do just yell at you and thats not ok, but you have to accept the fact that people will disagree with you.
also, I think you should at least apologize to allyz.
you can’t fix the internet, no one can, its messed up because humanity is to an extent. but thats sorta the beauty of it all, you see both the good and the bad.
Was there any point where he specifically blamed her for getting so many likes?
thats simply how the internet is
Why does it have to be?
frequently make “rant-y“ posts complaining about the people on this site and call people illogical when they don’t agree with you.
I only try to do it when I’m actually being logical and they’re not. If i’m wrong, I have always apologized.
I think you should at least apologize to allyz.
I have, and bro literally accepted the apology. I can probably find it somewhere if you want.
I think me and allyz have completely opposed personalities. Anytime we’re in close proximity, we’re going to butt heads. And I think that has proven itself to be true.
Both of us are equally mean to the other. Not because we’re trying to be. Each one thinks we’re right and the other is wrong. I hate that it has to be that way, but I don’t know what to do about it.
Because that’s how humanity itself generally is, the internet is basically a virtual reflection of it. If you wanted to fix the internet then you would have to fix humanity.
The accuracy of this is mixed, but ok.
Ok cool
