that’s not the scientific distinction between fruits and vegetables though 
um what, yes it is. a vegetable is a culnary term used to describe edible parts of a plant, where fruits are parts of a plant that have seeds. These categories can and do overlap. https://www.britannica.com/story/is-a-tomato-a-fruit-or-a-vegetable
