@jeffalo i love this website and everything, but the banner system needs improvement. there’s no reference frame for where it will show on your profile, and the frame that is provided doesn’t even match up with the actual shape of your profile banner. it took me a long time to get it right.

yeah, im aware… the issue is that different screens come in different sizes, which makes it really hard to make an accurate indicator for the cropper. at the moment, the cropper just shows the maximum part of the image that is visible. banners aren't really meant to be like eg. youtube banners with legible text, but more like a wallpaper or pattern you like
nevermind, now that i have access to the beta, i can see that this is different and much more what i would have expected.
note that the beta isn't going to be the next version of the site.. I rewrote the beta and now alpha.wasteof.money is the new site
