this site is good because it doesn’t have the worst types of bad people, and i think that’s good. we have like a reasonably nice community here who only has internal conflict, and doesn’t do anything like hate speech or things like glorification of violence.

Since the site doesn’t amplify anyone, you get to see normal people instead of the crazy people (who boost engagement, which algorithms optimize for).
yeah, all the engagement is natural. i’d say it’s harder to boost things than on tumblr, cohost, or fedi, but it’s still natural compared to twitter.
