Maryland is A because Baltimore, generally seems like a pretty cool state.
Delaware has nothing notable about it - Rhode Island is the smallest state and also has the chicken.
West Virginia is generally considered the worst state - poorest state, biggest GDP drop, all one political party (not that I necessarily disagree with said party - any state that is consistently one is a toxic place to live if you’re not the same), has some of the worst education etc.
Wisconsin, Michigan and Minnesota get S because I’ve been there multiple times and it is some of my best memories (I also live in Wisconsin). Michigan is beautiful, and Minnesota (Duluth) is my favorite city.
D tier is mostly states I don’t necessarily dislike, but rather meh states. Besides New Jersey. That state just shouldn’t exist.
Usually when I hear people mention Baltimore it’s negative things but the inner harbor area is cool. I love the eastern and western parts of Maryland, Annapolis is also such a nice little town.
Can confirm there’s not much notable in Delaware other than being first, it’s more of the same of its surroundings really.
I probably have a bias because of where I grew up, but stats aside West Virginia is actually a great place to visit. Mississippi for example has a lot of the same issues, but it doesn’t have the wonderful mountains and nature. I’m actually considering moving there at some point since the cost of living would be lower.
Agreed on New Jersey. In the south there are some nice beaches, but you can find that all along the coast. No reason to go.
