one class got replaced with a mock trial (no idea why myself) but dang that was good.

i got lucky enough to be picked as on the defense team, the case itself was just some argument happened between like 2 people and one broke a hand, of course this was made up (…in the trial, it definitely happened elsewhere)

the beginning was basically “no witnesses as the only teacher that was there had their back facing them, no evidence” (in the scenario all of them were above 12, which by hungarian legal system is the age where you become legally punishable)

the jury hinted “defense youre not winning this” and the prosecution’s points were honestly horrid - But that’s for later.

the defense team basically got up with basic info requests such as a map of the school with the positions if possible, time, motive, and evidence. However this is getting a bit ahead.

the opening statement? Several witnesses and piles of evidence, including an audio recording - But if so, then the defense wasn’t updated. But, where did the witnesses come from in that regard?

I don’t remember how that went, but there was (fictionally - the mock trial didnt stop at all) a recess.

Then, a video of a scene, which was claimed to be done by camera - It makes sense when you hear it, but if you look at a map of the footage (that I recreated):

Combined with the footage shaking, this was, without a doubt, NOT a camera.

Guess that atleast makes me realize that even if the day starts bad, it’s not all gonna be bad.

EDIT: And the fact that I feel relieved since I honestly was worried about them (even if I knew it’s probably just them on break)
