hi if you're in Edinburgh between the 24th and 29th of August, you should come and see Bush! The Musical! It's a musical political satire about George W Bush that I co- musical directed, and I promise it's very funny and the music is very catchy! (age 16+)

I'll also be performing with the Oxford Imps on the 28th, 29th and 30th of August, come see us for silly musical improv comedy! https://www.edfringe.com/tickets/whats-on/the-oxford-imps-improvised-comedy-hour
In the likely event that you are not in Edinburgh that week and/or aren't interested in musicals/improv comedy, please consider sharing this with people who might be interested!
I need to keep up my streak of posting something at least once a month!!!!!

in 1984 they have hate minute, where for 1 minute each day everyone has to get angry at people they don't like. we should have a love minute. every day, just express your gratitude for people and get all emotional about it. I feel like if everyone did that, it’d become second nature, and maybe this'd be a slightly nicer world to live in.
Just a random thought.
Just watched Murnau's Faust. It was an experience, I can tell you that… I'd definitely recommend it though, just not a barrel of laughs
I've been up in Sheffield for the last 4 days for the Swim England Winter National Championships. One thing that really struck me was how theatrical the whole thing was; the stands were in relative darkness compared to the pool, which was very well lit - it was like being at a theatre. They also had disco lights for the finals which was quite cool. It doesn't come across very well on camera but here are some photos anyway:

We also went for a bit of a drive into the Peak District, and I took some photos, most of which were very very blurry. Here's the least blurry one:

Overall ‘twas a very successful weekend of racing.
It always amazes me how really nice people can turn out to be really horrible about certain groups of people
adding shadows makes a massive difference… but perhaps I overdid the contrast slightly?

apparently i can remember enough from my year 8 art lessons (4 years ago!!) to draw a somewhat in-proportion humanoid figure! in fact it’s far better than anything i ever produced then :P
although the arms are a bit wonky…

just ignore the hands and feet (unless you have any advice for making them better) :)
