y tu mamá también and red rocket are films i absolutely have to see, been sleeping on them for way too long. have you seen the works of wong kar-wai? if not, i strongly strongly recommend his films

take your time INCREDIBLE FILM!! the first half in particular is one of my favorite moments in all of cinema. i would strongly recommend watching fallen angels next if you were a big enough fan - it was intended by kar-wai as an indirect sequel to chungking of sorts, the night to its day. a lot of people see it as chungkings inferior but i completely disagree, it’s my fav film of all time. each frame and each line is like a beautiful piece of lonely poetry
