you’ve caught me! i used jeffalo’s followers page to follow some people that follow jeffalo. I assume that way i’d get the most amount of active people to see that i’m following them. of course, it’s also a very effective way to not miss a beat whenever i post a story.
the nice thing about wasteof is that it doesnt have any complex ‘algorithms’ to boost posts, just runs data off of the amount of hearts, so your follower count is crucial to getting a lot of activity on your posts.
essentially, it’s all user manipulation. most people in a small community will follow whoever follows them, and so this is quite an effective way to gain followers.
also, more followers makes you feel good inside, lol.
