You can argue about Mac vs windows, I'll give you that, but iOS vs android isn't even remotely a competition. Like android isn't even close to iPhone
You’re right. IOS has a lot of catching up to do to be as good as android xD
I’d rather not compare them. They’re different things for different people. Personally, I love messing around with things in ways I’m really not meant to, and that isn’t possible on iOS without a Jailbreak, and that is a process that I’d rather not go through. As for the feature-set, all modern smartphones are practically the same, and Apple has been mostly behind in implementing these features, as they have to polish them for their interface.
As for speed, an argument I see below, these people obviously haven’t used recent android-based devices. The speed of the OS is only slightly based on the OS, however it’s mostly dependent on the processor and RAM. Older devices do not have apt processors, so comparing these to modern iPhones is not a fair comparison. Recent comparisons between flagships on both sides have shown that they are extremely similar. For example, modern flagships have the same speed and battery life, regardless of operating system.
Based simply on OS, you’re only saying iOS is better because that’s what you’ve used for so long. Regardless of your argument, the idea of what OS to use is no longer based on performance, as the difference is minuscule, but instead preference. I’ve used iOS for years, switched to android and I felt no difference, other than a lot more freedom. I’m staying.
The thing with iOS is really its not a major advantage but instead just many smaller upgrades across the whole thing that add up. It's small things like iMessages, syncing from all of your devices, and the much better looking ui. iOS and really all Apple products are a slightly more premium experience at a more premium price. The best analogy is it's like the Louis vuitton of tech: not much better, though still better, but more expensive and, rightfully, built around the heritage of the brand and their tendency to make better stuff than others. Also, personally, i tried an android once and it absolutely sucked, in no way was it good. I will hopefully never use an android device
iMessages is a separate beast, and is truly only the child of Apple’s desire to stay proprietary. It is not only extremely easy to create non-discriminatory RCS texting, but it’s already been done with programs like Google Messages, which is functionally equivalent to iMessages, but is less used for the simple reason that it is not preinstalled on devices.
The majority of Android devices are locked to their cellular providers, and thus those phones come preinstalled with the terrible texting software that these networks provide. The entire issue of messaging standards is completely separate from OS, and it’s really only an issue that doesn’t benefit anyone.
Syncing from all your devices is already provided on all Android devices, with Google. iCloud only provides 5GB of space with a free account, while Google Drive gives all new users 15GB for free, with all the same features. You can sync notes, images, files, anything.
Apple's UI can be completely recreated on Android with only small, unnoticeable discrepancies. That’s one of the primary features of Android, you can do whatever you want with it, and that's why a lot of people like to use it.
Also, as for your final point, which device did you use?
like I said, it’s little things. Those are just examples.
Also yeah you can recreate an iPhone on an android device, but do you really want to? Like why not just get an iPhone at that point?
You’re missing the point. You can’t say that Android looks bad because you can make it look however you want.
looking bad is a matter of preference. it still looks like a knockoff to me. And like I said, why would you want to change it when you can just get an actual iphone?
Cap Android has launchers to change the look of the is + control centers + lock screens to do the same for instance you can make Android look identical to iPhone
nah, ios is way smoother, android for some reason cant recreate that, and the background blurs are all wrong, and just everything feels off. its like the uncanny valley. but it feels like a bad bootleg instead of a creepy face
No, because at Walmart the carts glide smoothly. It would be more like android if the carts kinda faded into existence.
