No, @oren does not hate gay people. In fact, @oren is a Christian who handles this issue more properly than many others I know have. He has only stated officially that he hates sin, which, according to the Bible, homosexuality+adultry falls under.

@oren even wished respect to the people whose actions he has criticized.

As a student at my (old) school, I was definitely treated badly by many people when they hear an (untrue) rumor that I was gay. They made fun of me and other crude things. In @oren’s post, he does none of this.

I hope you can see that in this situation, you are, in fact, the person hating on someone (@oren), and that you will leave this post more enlightened than when you started.
