some of you guys seem to have pretty tech nerdy parents whereas my dad straight up told me with full confidence that using an ethernet cable would give me a higher chance of getting hacked

meanwhile my dad has worked on computers since 1999 and my friends dad built an alexa to homekit from a raspberry pi
“it’d be best if [my pihole] isn’t connected directly to the internet” but i think he realised his dumbness cos he used the ethernet port on his laptop / doesnt mind when i occasionally do
