me and my friends hate green bubbles so much that we’re literally considering buying our friend an apple device for his birthday so he can text us

comments (single view)

they’re annoying, also half of them (including the one we’re buying for) don’t have a cell service plan so we can’t text him at all right now.

how are they annoying? they're literally just a color. if you are so adamant about having non-green bubbles, just have them use something like sunbird.

it’s not the color, he physically can’t send messages to any of us because we have apple devices and he has an android

...but I'm an Android user and can text you (also, https://www.sunbirdapp.com/)

yeah, but you have a cell plan and he doesn’t

oh, I see.

assuming you’re all 14/15, right??

my 10 year old brother has a cell plan?? seems kinda odd to me

Now that I think about it, me and one other girl are the only ones who have cell (and mine is on an Apple Watch). It’s mostly because we’re all in Christian, “conservative” families.

@/micahlt is the same way, he didn’t get one until like age 17 or something

i suppose that kinda makes sense (while my family is christian (not me though), i wouldn’t call them conservative)

I’m not super conservative, and most of my friends aren’t but there certainly are some at my church.

Funnily enough, my school is more conservative than my church. They almost started a Turning Point USA chapter there. I think my family is the only one that didn’t think the election was stolen in 2020.

oh god forgot how far right those US conservatives are

But my friend group is actually pretty weird within our church. probably 99% of everyone else above age 12 has a phone
