actually, you can get an old intel Mac for pretty cheap, and upgrade parts. Just as an example I could probably upgrade a 2006 Mac Pro to like a 16GB RAM 1TB SSD with a Xeon X5365 Quad Core (low/mid-range chip today) for around $300-400 in total (including the computer). A really good deal in my opinion (except it doesn’t have any new tech, so i’d be limited to like SATA drives and DDR2)
