Someone should do a double-blind study to see if people can actually tell the difference between 60hz, 120hz, and 240hz displays. I’m convinced it’s just a placebo effect, and no one can actually tell.
I can 100% tell the difference between 60 and 144 (my monitor is 60, but my laptop is 144). It's logarithmic; not a cutoff. The higher the framerate, the less noticeable the difference is. Higher frames aren't worth much except for video games anyway, so who cares ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
