both are e2ee, telegram lets you upload 2 gig files. I'd recommend signal, though I haven't ever used telegram.

telegram is a bit shady, but it was audited and its def e2ee. i remember some possum post about signal being bad because of owners being bad, but idk- i´ll search it up
