Boxer Imane Khelif, a boxer competing in the Women’s category, beat Angela Carini after 46 seconds and only a few punches. Angela then broke down in tears afterwards and said it was “the hardest she has ever been hit”

Imane was banned from 2023 tournaments, as she has higher testosterone levels compared to other females. (I honestly don’t even know what her sex is at the moment, I think she’s intersex but a lot of people are saying she is a biological male)

But anyway, having a higher testosterone means she has a huge advantage with strength and muscle mass so do you believe it is unfair for her to compete?

hm ok i cba to do research but like assuming she is a biological female and isnt doping then isnt that just getting lucky genetically such as how certain people are more suited to sprinting rather than long distance bcus they genetically have more fast twitch muscle fibre

or maybe a better example being a sprinter with more fast twitch muscle fibre can outpace one with less just by virtue of genetics

She has higher testosterone compared to other women due to being intersex, meaning she has more strength and muscle mass, which are very important for boxing.

sure weaker boxers can still win fights, bcus isnt boxing also quite strategic (look idk shit abt boxing). could she fight against men if the strength rlly is an issue?

no that’s a fair point - of course it’s not all strength. Her win record is only 80%, which is good but she isn’t unstoppable

Strength isn’t all of boxing, but it’s still a gigantic part of it.

yea i dont know much abt boxing lol but yk if the strength is an issue could she not compete against men?

like could boxers learn to avoid her punches
