ngl it’s super cool to see how hyped people are getting about rugby as a sport now due to the olympics, especially US women’s rugby with their bronze medal win. such a great sport that deserves all the love it can get

I was joking, I couldn’t tell you one difference between the two. I assume they are basically the same? just a little different
They’re quite different in structure, gameflow, and vibe, though technically speaking during a typical football play, you could run a play like you would in rugby without breaking any football rules. some rugby concepts are still left in football, the latter has just evolved beyond them. highly recommend learning about and watching rugby if you’re interested
