Due to a present situation, do any of you know of a Windows application for adding title/artist/album metadata to audio files? Preferably, I'd like it to re-encode the audio to MP4 alongside the metadata changes. The RW-570 audio library, and the broadcast protocol in general, have been severely impacted by issues with my macOS boot volume, and I need such an application as part of makeshift workflow repairs.

I media player you can edit audio file info, but you can’t do it to wav files, but everything else should work, pretty simple to do

there’s vlc or ffmpeg for reencoding, but the only two metadata editors i’ve ever used that could write “title/artist/song/“ are musicbrainz and mp3tag - but those only work for audio files

You can use ffmpeg to set metadata with the -metadata switch

actually if I can recall you can edit metadata in VLC

*emphasis on the edit

I mean, I think Audacity can do that, but I don’t know if that’s what you want or not
