the only things keeping me from completely leaving firefox for vivaldi is the lack of self-hosted syncing and the ios version being really buggy (which is weird compared to the other versions)
if i lacked the prior context, i would have thought that the blaze relaunch was some kind of hacker-y social experiment. but given how blaze acts and behaves i have a feeling they're absolutely serious about pushing this.
i had a slight bit of interest in the open source project volcano but it seems that's been completely abandoned, and i feel like that effort would have yielded a much, much better result than what we got. if the relaunch just turned out to be a stack jump from wix to buddypress it would be less disappointing than this. or even if they just deployed the open-source versions of wasteof or even darflen and called it "new blaze."
i can only assume this was a rushed one person build-it-and-ship-now operation to save the project from being ridiculed for being based on wix, but this launch makes the whole project seem like a satire
i'm so glad to be at a point where i can choose between ultrakill and brazilian drug dealer 3: i opened a portal to hell in the favela trying to revive mit aia i need to close it and not regret how i spent my time
