school starts soon, generally happy with how things are going, except for computer science
i've been in computer science for the last 3-ish years and we've worked with python for all of it, but this year we're doing java.
the only reasoning for tossing out the last 3 years of work is that the honors classes are using it, but this isn't an honors class and i'm very confused
good luck
I am probably going to go off the internet on September fourth, there is no way anyone can avoid silksong spoilers
transparent panels are probably one of the only changes i will make for visual reasons
this is a threat
windows 11 needs hot corners, for example my long term kde and gnome use has trained myself that left-corner-cursor-smack opens the overview - you don’t even have to click. windows doesn’t do that and i would rather commit tax fraud than rewire my muscle memory
generative ai in it’s current state is an unoptimized parlor trick and i think it’s corporate stewards should’ve worked on it more. we should’ve had time to implement safeguards and regulations
but instead we got a short-term-value arms race
maybe i use too much wishful thinking but my high hopes for good uses for this technology get dampened every time i have to explain to someone that that video they sent me wasn’t real and was made by an ai content farm for ad revenue
bazzite seems cool, but my only concern is that the ‘immutable’/’atomic’ design probably means you can’t modify whatever the maintainers determine as “core” and thus are at their mercy for hardware support
but i also really don’t want to spend the time debloating a windows 11 iso just for games - which is all this install is going to be used for, i rarely use anything adobe makes and my school uses google docs for everything anyway
i would buy a steam deck or other dedicated pc handheld but i am brokeass
“Oh no! It’s the consequences of my own actions!”
