The lore behind him is actually crazy definitely the best and most interesting in the Scratch multiverse

i just found out why a popular animation scratcher who i enjoyed watching years back deleted their account. all i can say is, i had no idea they did the bad things they did, and i feel a little betrayed even though i wasn’t one of several scratchers who was affected by their actions… yikes.

Scratch lore goes crazy tbh

For real though, the deepest lore in the deepest fandom on the planet doesn’t even compare to scratch

can someone explain the kaj lore to me

Kaj was a user in like 2008 who got mad when he didn’t get any attention and threatened to hack people, then got banned. But people decided to make it into a thing and so it’s a piece of lore now

fun fact: lightnin confirmed in a now-buried comment thread that kaj actually owned another account, which is still accessible today.

I know, and how Kaj emailed Scratch saying he liked the attention and wasn’t bothered

more interesting than kaj, i’d argue.

I agree since it’s less well known, have you seen his essay?

you mean this? yes, this is where i found basically all of this info out.

"I wanted to annoy Gio even more, so I took his real life school address | got from his Instagram and the YouTube channel with the Dhar Mann parody, and used Python to spam it on his newest project, because his profile comments were closed. I didn't understand that doing this was illegal at the time, and I didn't think I could possibly get in legal trouble for it." I- huh?!

yeah, i, uh… i can’t believe it either.

there’s been three confirmed times where scratch projects were sent to law enforcement. i’m gonna assume that that number went up to at least four, seeing as… that happened.

Also, "And it was even worse than when I pirated the Mario Movie" he said something above this about not knowing it was illegal. I pirate games and shit (NOT for indie developers though) from the Google Play store, and I've done that since I was around 13, but I've known even since then that it was illegal. No one even had to tell me, I just knew I was committing a crime. How did that not cross his mind??

“I didn’t know it was illegal” is the only excuse? Legality is his only concern?

No morals I guess
