desktops are just tiny datacenters

1. can’t go anywhere that doesn’t have a power outlet

2. sounds like a jet engine

3. about as hot too

4. will be the heaviest thing you carry

5. despite how much power you have for running basically any game imaginable, you're realistically just going to use same thing over and over 80% of the time

6. just like a real datacenter

I'll die on this hill, and I got a desktop recently. A laptop serves its purpose well enough, and a gaming laptop is still far more portable than a desktop. I had a gaming laptop for a long time, and it's all true (all true!), but you can't put a desktop into a backpack (along with a monitor and keyboard). I needed the portability of a laptop for a long time and hooray I don't need it anymore. :) Merry Christmas Eve
