give it a go, see how far you can get

every time i beat earthbound, the final boss has not gotten any less u n c o m f o r t a b l e to complete.

aaaaaanyway moving on to mother 3 now since that’s been on the back burner since idfk

i wish i could go back to having one special interest at a time instead of 4 at once

shaved 40 or so seconds off an upload by connecting an sftp server to an ftp server by some 10-year-old looking file sync tool

small victories

absolutely worth it to be able to run these games at a higher resolution AND with a better controller

spent almost a full day dumping my 3ds cartridges and transferring my data to my pc and a good chunk of that was spent waiting. the SD read/write speeds are abysmal and ftpd boots my client off and then reconnects it a few seconds later when transferring large files

everything else was smooth sailing, though

i’d probably get better performance by running emulators on my pc, but that wouldn’t be as much fun

3 TRUTHS, NO LIES:

  • hyperdeath is what happens when something is ultrakilled

  • v1 is an overengineered yeet machine

  • i need a new special interest

USELESS INFORMATION: so i’ve been jumping between vivaldi and firefox for the past few months and i’m still very indecisive

on one end vivaldi is chromium-based BUT has a ton of customization options and an integrated email/calendar/rss client

firefox isn’t chromium-based and the email/calendar/rss is fulfilled by nextcloud + freshrss that i’m self-hosting

so i’m still trying to figure out what i want

for a little while i was considering using zen again - it was essentially firefox with edge’s vertical tabs and collapse-on-hover (i really liked that part, but given it’s essentially a tracking mechanism for microsoft, i’m not giving edge much more consideration),

vanilla firefox now has vertical tabs and tab groups so zen is sort of useless to me (it is still a very decent browser, personal opinions aside)

i am indecisive and that is a problem

so i’ve wound up using an rss reader (freshrss running on my rpi) and rss-bridge to follow people on most “normie” social media sites and it’s much harder to get sucked into endless holes when all you see is the posted content from the people you specifically follow

this green room is not suitably green enough

still trying to decide between cosmic desktop and my usual gnome + forge set up

i’m going to flip a coin and see

sometimes i think i need to set up accounts on new services after i’ve arranged what i’m going to do with it
