I finished my homework way earlier than I thought I would and I still felt like messing around on my computer so I made some random arbitrary criteria for a points system and ranked all 50 US states (+ D.C.) into a tier list:

I was tempted to dock North Carolina for their barbecue alone, but that wasn’t in the criteria and otherwise the state is pretty great. I could probably live there and be happy

I will admit I’ve only had barbecue there once or twice, but I’m going down to Chapel Hill in a little over a week so maybe I’ll try again
I don’t know much about the US so the one that upsets me the most is everyone in the “—” tier because that’s not how tier lists are aupposef to woek.
Idk how tier lists are supposed to work, but in this case that just means equally good and bad or I don’t feel anything. It’s the starting point that my opinion can go up or down from, and I ran out of letters (C worked but then I needed more separation for states I liked, and D implies bad)
