it’s not like it’s not like that on other platforms, it’s that the community here is a lot smaller so a) there are less of them and b) more people know about them, and therefore sort of participate in them

In German, Kanin means nothing.
In German, Kaninchen, which is “Kanin” in the diminutive form, means rabbit. That makes… less sense.
