Welcome back to Wacky Optical Illusions, a series of posts that will twist your brain to its limit with fun, tricky images! This one’s a classic, but a subtle one:

Look closely and try to count how many different black dots appear. Do you have your answer? I’ll give you 5 seconds to count them all.

Time’s up! You might say there are 25 dots that appear, but you’d be wrong! There are no black dots, only gray ones! Clever illusion, isn’t it?

I found a mention of a beach ball in 1927, one in 1922 as well but less sure about that one so it goes in the same category as the possible 1913 mentions.
