the original version of this joke is so silly. like im sorry to hear you don’t get to work in a field with math, a lot of people do… but either way, school teaches you problem solving by example.. the fact that we happen to learn stuff like trig or calculus is just a side effect 
the school system has problems but the fact that it teaches “useless math” is not one of them
