@today I started using wasteof4/wasteof alpha again and I’m realising how much better it is now lmao. Only thing that’s missing is your posts made in alpha don’t get posted to firehose on the wasteof discord server, so I’m still gonna post from wasteof2
Fun thing that happened a few days ago actually, I powered it up and was using scrcpy to back up the remaining portions of my data I didn’t back up when it initially died, then left it powered on and charging overnight. I woke up in the morning and to my absolute shock and disbelief, the screen AND fingerprint scanner had randomly started working again over a month after they died. Maybe miracles do exist…
I’ve been using it without any issues for the past 4 days now. Usually when OLEDs get liquid damage, they at least get green lines, touch issues, black spots, green tint, flickering etc, but the panel is literally perfectly fine other than the screen burn is slightly more exacerbated by the IPA. I guess since IPA isn’t conductive, one it dried up fully from the heat from fast charging the phone, the screen just went “alright, I’m alive again, yahoo!”
Oh and the best part is it has a new battery with less than 10 charge cycles and 100% health now
update: I’m gonna cry my screen stopped working entirely I can only use it on my computer now
ending it all because I replaced my Galaxy S21+ battery and now the fingerprint scanner doesn’t work so I have to use samsung’s absolutely buns face unlock
@today I made the @today bot! You can see what it does in the repost, it was just an idea I had and decided to make a real thing :)
Want it to announce your birthday on the day? Or did something cool? Tag @today (for example, saying @today I did xyz) and if there’s 5 or less others, you’ll make it into today’s post (if made before the time limit) or in tomorrow’s post if you missed the time limit. For more than 5 people, the posts to feature are picked at random :)
thanks engineerrunner for breaking it before it could do well, literally anything, hopefully it’s slightly harder to break now.
Hello! I’m today, a bot from @joshatticus!
Every day at 12pm UTC, I make a post about important events and milestones happening today!
Want to add a milestone to my next post? Just tag me in your post! I also track birthdays, so if today’s your birthday, make a post about it, or set your birthday in advance in this post’s comment section.
@today birthday set dd mm yyyy (year is optional)
To be included in the post for today, you’ll need to submit between 12AM and 11:59AM UTC, anything after then will be included in the “Things I missed yesterday” section of tomorrow’s post!
The most useful part of the blade lights on my Galaxy Buds3 Pro is when they get close to the case, they turn on, which makes it way easier to get them in the case in the dark
This repost is going to be my FINAL post on this matter because I am incredibly angry and I will not be framed as the bad person in this situation.
(TW Homophobia, Religion, Rant)
First of all. How, dare you. How DARE you frame me as the bad person in this situation. How dare you try and blame me, claiming I am “95%” to blame for YOUR choice to leave this platform. You are 95% of the reason I am so ANGRY at this right now. I am absolutely not trying to start drama, I apologise if it comes across that way, I am stating my opinions. I was not being rude. I could write it in a much nastier way if I wanted to. I was not in any way attempting to “make fun” of the Bible earlier today. I posted a quote from an interview from 2018. I do not necessarily agree with everything said, but I agree with most of it. Posting a quote does not instantly mean that I personally agree with the parts supposedly “making fun” of the Bible. But, if we're going to talk about disrespecting the Bible, how about we talk about selectively enforcing the parts of the Bible that apparently mean homosexuality is bad (which once again, does not apply to me AT ALL in ANY WAY because I am not a Christian), but not other parts? How is explicitly disrespecting parts of the Bible but not others not offensive, but apparently me posting an interview quote is? I smell bias here.
As for your “Reddit atheist” part is, I absolutely do not agree with your opinions about me at all, and you know what, that's fine, because everyone is entitled to their own opinion and no opinion is wrong, just like I have my opinion that I don't CARE what the Bible says. I tried to be respectful. I spent genuine time researching to try and respectfully convey my opinion, and you know I got? Snark, ignorance and complete disregard for what I said. Of course I did, because that's what they do, that's what I did when I was a homophobic little shit a few years ago, people were kind to me, I threw it back in their face under the guise of “my religion says so” (while actively not following certain parts of my religion at the time) and they were mean to me back. You cannot call me dismissive and disrespectful when that is exactly what THEY ARE.
And, on that topic, I used to be a Christian, specifically a homophobe too, hiding behind the Bible to spread hate. You know why I'm not anymore? Because I reflected and realised I had zero positive impact on the world and that everybody hated me and probably still does to this day (and rightfully so, I do not hold a grudge against you if you hold one against me for what I said back then), and because it seems the majority of Christians don't actually actively follow the Bible or God's word and just use mistranslations to spread hate.
Every day I feel suffocated from my parents who are homophobic Christians, when I go online, that is my safe space. This is the LAST place I expected to see such BLATANT homophobia, and it absolutely DISGUSTS ME. I do not believe you are a real Christian if you use your religion and the Bible to judge or hate others.
Returning back to my point on your guilt trip, how can you possibly blame me for 95% of this when the ONLY “disrespectful” post I've made was posting an interview quote. Have you seen ANY of the other posts? This feels incredibly targeted and much more like you're trying to frame and guilt trip me rather than express your actual opinions on what's happening.
Bridges have been burned. I used to respect everyone on this platform until a lot of them revealed their true colours. It is not just politics when you use what you stand for to hate my very existence, legal recognition and rights.
I don't care if you're reading this or not, who knows if you even actually left, I don't care how disrespectful this sounds, I don't care if this post gets locked, this is my opinion, I will not be framed as the bad guy, goodbye, this is my final post on this matter, I will be returning to my random miscellaneous tech posting from now on.
my therapist wants to use novonote to record our sessions and summarise with AI and my instant response is HELL NO I do NOT want AI to be listening to everything
“These comments might be strong, but it's how I genuinely feel. I don't care that you're a Christian. I don't care what the Bible says like.
I feel like it's a clown show like sitting here, trying to decipher what your little mythical book has to say about these very real political issues, right? I don't care if you're Christian. In fact, I will fight for you to have your religious liberty and practice your Christianity.
I believe in that I don't believe in Christianity, which means that you do not get to dictate the way I live my life based on your religion. I don't care what the Bible says you have every right in the world. All those women who identify with your religion have every right in the world to not Abortion to not take birth control, but they do not have the right to dictate my life.
And when I decide to do with my body, I don't care about your g****** religion. I'm so tired of having non-stop conversations about what the Bible says you live your life in the way that you interpret the Bible again. I don't care, but you don't get to take the Bible and tell me while the Bible says this in this chapter in this course, I don't care.
I don't care, I don't believe in it. And I have the right based on our Constitution to not believe it”

My blog’s backend was getting really convoluted and monolithic, so I asked Gemini 3.5 Flash to completely refactor and split it up and wow, it did an AMAZING job.
It did forget a few things and I had to fix some things manually, but it should be way more reliable and faster now. Not sure if anyone’s found any bugs yet but if you do please let me know :D
whoever made my maccas chocolate frappe I hope both sides of your pillow are nice and cool
literally filled past the lid, HEAPS of chocolate sauce and whipped cream and almost no annoying ice chunks that block up the straw
Homosexuality is not something you “struggle with,” it is something you are born with. If you are “struggling” with it, you’re probably just in denial, which then of course leads to internalised homophobia and therefore projections.
The part of the bible saying it is a sin to lie with a man as one a woman is an abomination is actually a mistranslation. This did not appear in any English translation of the bible until 1946. In ancient Greek and historical German translations (such as Martin Luther’s 1534 Bible), the terms used like “arsenokoitai” and “knabenschander” referred explicitly to exploitative relationships, such as child molestation, master-slave rape, or temple prostitution.
Passages in Leviticus (such as Leviticus 18:22) are part of holiness codes that also ban eating shellfish or wearing mixed fabrics. How come you would choose to selectively enforce the passages that benefit you but not the others?
Matthew 7:1–2: "Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged..."
John 8:7: Jesus explicitly challenges a crowd looking to punish a woman by saying, "Let him who is without sin among you be the first to throw a stone at her."
Romans 2:1: "You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on someone else, for at whatever point you judge another, you are condemning yourself..."
